"Operation Patriotism"


 

A Patriotic and moving ceremony, put on by The Second Company, Governor's Foot Guard,
about the history of the American Flag and the flags preceding it.

 The program includes flag presentations, music, and narration.


The Queen Anne Flag

The Queen Anne Flag waved over the thirteen
American Colonies from 1707 till the Revolution....

The Grand Union Flag

The Grand Union Flag was raised over George Washington's
headquarters outside Boston on January 1st 1776....

Old Glory

Old Glory was the first official flag of the new nation,
The United States of America. It was created by a
resolution of the Continental Congress in Philadelphia....

The Star Spangled Banner

The Star Spangled Banner waved over Fort McHenry when it
was bombarded on the 13th and 14th of September 1814, and
it inspired Francis Scott Key to write our National Anthem....

The Flag of the United States of America

The Flag of the United States of America, today has
thirteen stripes ( seven red and six white ) and fifty white
stars on a blue field ( five rolls of six and four rolls of five )....
